Power Users of Information and Communication Technology International Symposium

Special thanks to all who participated in and supported this phenomenal event!

The first global gathering of the Power Users of Communication and Information Technology (Power Users of ICT) was a tremendous success! We were so impressed by all the young "Power Users" from around the world who participated. The teams of young “Power Users” of ICT in attendance consisted of 45 youth from 15 countries, chosen for their technology skills and/or interests. They were brought together at this essential and engaging event to work together in their teams to develop their own responses and recommendations to some of the world's most challenging problems, inline with the UN Millennium Goals.

In making their recommendations, the power users youth teams from Australia, the Philippines, the United States, Costa Rica, the Nordic countries, Latin America, the Netherlands, and China (participated online), demonstrated their 21st Century ICT skills by presenting their team’s recommendations of said challenges to industry leaders and experts, leaders in education and research, and various news media organizations.
